Now I want to go "Camping"

Okay, I always say you have to give a show at least 2 episodes if not 3 to make sure if you like it or not...usually....some are amazing off the bat and some suck but I try to give them all a chance.

HBO's new show camping is annoyingly funny.  I am sitting here watching on my computer because the hubs is watching...something.  Anyways, I was silently snorting to myself so much he was like "are you okay...? *raised eyebrow* Turned the screen to show him what I was watching just as a very naked Julia Louis-Dreyfus turned around in all her naked glory.

He was like "She has a landing strip" as I laughed because only I could hear what was happening.

The show is fun.  I think (I hope) as it goes on it will compound on the silliness.  We all know these people.  These are city folks on a weekend camping trip.  But its not a bunch of 20 somethings going skinny dipping and shotgunning beers... its all older married (or divorced) couples with kids trying to have fun.

You have your dorky husband/dad, controlling wife/mom, the sister with the reformed (?) deadbeat (?) husband and their angsty teen, the brother and his wife who CLEARLY have issues with controlling lady, and the recently separated friend with his new hippy girlfriend.

I want to love it because I love Jennifer Garner and David Tennant.  Seriously, the 1st episode was a hoot.   I giggled quite a bit.  Hopefully it just gets funnier...and we talk more about her pelvic floor while the others are just annoyed and drink and totally go off schedule because AHAHAHAHA I have a friend like that...I love her but chill chickadee!

Anyways, funny show...reminds me of camping with my boujee friends.  There are ALWAYS stories to tell after.

Oh and there's a bear.

Team Incest

Yes I just said that...

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE GoT Season 7 Finale.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

So while I am 100% grossed out by Cersi & Jamie, I was all about Jon bumping uglies with Dany. Yea I said that.  Go 'head King of the North, defile your Auntie.

I have problems.  I think the reason I am okay with it is because THEY don't know and they are clearly VERY fond of each other.  Yay for Nekkid Jon Snow butt, ha!

Obviously LOTS happened in the finale.  Cersi is still a tw@t and I think my theory of Jamie leaving her or killing her is looking like it may be coming true.  He realizes she is f**king A nuts!

Tyrion seems conflicted about the Wolf/Dragon hook up.

Brianne reaching out to Jamie gave me life.

Littlefinger FINALLY getting what he deserves.  As Sansa was reciting the charges, I was like no no no no Sansa do NOT do this to Arya.  And then she says Lord Baelish.  WHAT??!?!  Yaaaas, f**king YAAAASSS!

So many things...all culminating in *brown chicken brown cow* family love....

Did I mention the DEAD F**KING DRAGON SHOWING UP...?  No...yea that happened.

Night King, came riding in on Viserion and destroyed the wall...CRAP...this is bad...this is very not good....this is very bad and not good!!!!

Oh yea and Jon's name...is Aegon Targaryen and Bran & Sam know...and they just can't wait to tell him.  OH dear....how is the new couple gonna react to that one....

Yea....just be glad I didn't write this last night...

AND THEN THE F**KING ENDING!  I mean I saw it coming and was yelling at the TV but....

Like WTF, no, what...AHHHHH, no f**king way....I need a drink!

Seriously...read on at your own risk.

I can't tell you how many times I said "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas" last night.  That was by far one of the best season finales.  It wasn't a huge cliffy (thank god!) but there was so much info crammed in I thought my head was gonna 'splode*Hahaha*  So since coherent thought was lacking with all the reveals, I'll just give you my tumblr thoughts (and reblogs).  Sadly these make more sense than anything I could possibly type at the moment *my brain is mush*.

So many emotions, so many shows, I need a drink - Game of Thrones

So we got the Season Premier of GoT, whoohoo...but then we got the Season Finale of Lucifer, booooo.  (see next post for Lucifer)

Game of Thrones first, it went by WAY too fast.  Before I knew it the hour was up and it was ending.  We find out a little of what happened since we left our fav characters at the end of Season 5.  But only a taste.  Just a little taste of each story line...still no Bran.  Where the f**k is Bran?  We shall find out soon, I think.   At least based on the previews they showed for the Season.

Jon is still dead.  No...just no! He isn't dead.  Melisandre can bring him back...right?!?!  She said she saw him fighting at Winterfell, HE'S NOT DEAD.  I'm not in denial...shut up.  I really wanted Ghost to go all vengeful Dire wolf on the men that turned on Jon.  I still think he'll go at least partial vengeful dire wolf at some point.  Rip their guts out Ghost!

Sansa and Theon are still running for their lives.  They are saved by Brienne &  Podrick. They swear their loyalty to one another.  Sansa has come so far since the series (books) began.  She was such a one dimensional character who has now become so important, so layered, definitely one of my favs.

Arya is still blind but I think we are seeing that she is being taught to use her other senses to survive.  At least that is the vibe I got.  They crazy snake women killed everyone I liked in Dorne.  I actually felt sorry for Cersi.  Her heartbreaking revelation about how she would bear children but none would live was quite sobering.  Tyrion while he wasn't on screen long, reminded me why he is another fav.  He is just a great character.  He can be a "bad" person but under all that he is someone I would want to be friends with (weird).  Daenerys is captured by the Dothraki.  She wins over that Khal by being her bad@$$ self and by being the widow of Khal Drogo.  She has their immediate respect but they will not be bringing her back to Meereen.  Yikes!  Something tells me her Dragon will be changing that somehow.

Then they dropped the bomb of all bombs on us.  We know Melisandre is different.  She is a powerful...witch...sorceress...priestess.  She clearly uses magic.  She seems older than she looks but she is visibly young and beautiful.  So we are being the creepers watching her get ready for bed.  She drops her clothes (it wouldn't be GoT without boobs) and then takes off her necklace.  All we see is this weird distorted reflection.  Pan back to Melisandre and she looks like a taller Gollum with saggy tatas and OMG I did not need to see this before going to bed.   She is old...VERY old...and very scraggly.  Hmmmm what are they telling us now?!?!  So she has strong magic...she can bring back Jon Snow!  Right...right?!?!?!  I may have a one track mind at the moment.

I'm so glad GoT is back!

The Leftovers still keeps me coming back each week

Okay, like I've said before, I wont recap every episode and review it.  But last weeks (10/25/2015) episode really grabbed me.  I'm a week late watching it because the mother of all storms came through last week and wouldn't allow me to watch it without power surges and emergency update interruptions from my parish.  Being Halloween week, the week got away from me and now its 11/1 and I FINALLY finished watching it.

The episode itself was interesting.  Kevin goes back to where the girls disappeared and crazy dad finds him there.  But instead of freaking out he just cons him into going with him for a drive.  A drive where we end up at the "friends" temp home...you know the friend that cray cray dad burned his house down.  Well dad gets shot and Kevin is like f**k!  Kevin takes care of him, calling cray cray's wife (Doctor) and getting him help.  Once cray cray is all good he leaves, only to be attacked relentlessly by the hallucination of Patti.  He finally loses it and talks to her (thank God it is the middle of the night).  After finding out he did in fact try to kill himself, that he supposedly doesn't love his family...its just a band-aid because of all the BS that happened before, AND that those girls DID depart (well $hit!).   After the hallucination is satisfied she f**ked Kevin up enough, she walks away.  Then crazy guy in the tower says "whose your friend?".  What?!!?!?  He can see her too!?!?!?  Who is this guy?  Why is he in the tower?  Why does the town seem okay with that?  He is clearly significant!  Kevin finally makes his way back to a still freaked out Nora who isn't mad that he left...just that she woke up alone and thought he departed.  So what does she do...she handcuffs them together to sleep. Weird but a meaningful sentiment.  I don't care what not real Patti said...I think they do love each other!

Jill is going to get bored eventually.  She clearly loves her adoptive sister but a 17 year old needs more than babysitting and hanging out with the crazy adults all the time.  I do like that she seems really close with Nora.  I'm glad they didn't go the resentful "step daughter" route.  She seems to want to befriend boy twin from next door.  And honestly he seems to connect with her too.  I don't care if it isn't romantic, I like their chemistry.  I think they would be great friends at the very least. Poor boy twin is REALLY distraught about his missing sister.  He KNOWS they departed but no one wants to hear that but Jill doesn't seem to mind.  See they have a connection.

That was basically the gist of the show.  What REALLY got me though was the final piece of music.  As Kevin is undressing and Nora is sadly watching him you hear "I've got chills they're multiplying....".  Holy $hit, I know that song!  I know it so well!  It's "You're the ones that I want"  from Grease.  But it isn't the version I know.  It is dark and haunting.  It is PERFECT.  The same lyrics sung a different way.  It gave me chills and fit absolutely perfectly with the ending of this episode.  Hear the whole song below.  I love it!

The Leftovers - Season 2, Episode 2 - A Matter of Geography

Oh don't mind me, my brain is just leaking out of my ear.  Seriously...again?  At least I got one kind of answer, sort of...Again, its good...I'll still watch it but good GOD what is happening!?!?  I'm not going to review every episode but I had to do this one.

SPOILERS

So we flash back to our favorite f**ked up family and how they ended up in Miracle.  YAY!  I like explanations.  And while I knew Kevin was off his rocker, I didn't realize how off his rocker he was.  He went and dug up crazy lady and PURPOSEFULLY got pulled over with her rotting corpse in the back of his truck.  He of course is the luckiest mofo on the planet because not only did he not go to jail because they hated her anyways but when he told Nora about his semi-criminal act and she said okay no biggie, I love you.  What?!?

Then she is offered a stupid amount of money to sell her home, over 3 mil, because multiple people "departed" there...morbid much.  They get to miracle where people are on waiting lists to get in and they just so happen to rent a house...ONLINE.  Alas, the house they rented burned to the ground...hmmm I wonder if it was by the crazy firefighter dude???  Nora goes all crazy white girl and buys a house for auction....for basically what she got for her house.  Kevin is acting like a nutter which shouldn't surprise me but geesh.

He's seeing "ghosts"...ya know Patti.  But she seems so real and she wants to be acknowledged.  He thinks he's going the route of his dad and just ignores it.  When she slams his head into their new stove, its concerning.  Is he hurting himself or is she real?!!?!?

So it looked like we weren't going to see what they did during the quake because it was fading to back as Kevin fell asleep.  And then BAM he is at at the reservoir.  How the f**k did he get there without Nora noticing?!?!  Why is he tied to a f**king cinder-block??? Did he try to kill himself???  So he just happens to appear at the reservoir when the teenagers disappeared during the earth quake.  And then crazy Patti just happens to appear to him at that point with an "uh oh".  Really?!?!  What is happening???

The preview for next week (or the rest of the season) looks intense.  Did I see preacher man in a stocks?!?!?!  Are they gonna kill him?  How did creepy dad get shot?  Did they find Kevin at the reservoir?  Why are the looney toons from New York showing up in Texas?

This show is crazy but I have a feeling Kevin is important to whatever it is.  Possibly an epicenter or something.  He is a key, we just have to figure out to what.

I only have more questions...that's so not fair!!!

So for some stupid reason I decided to keep watching The Leftovers.  It isn't a bad show but it is very dark.  By the end of last season I was still very WTF.  I had no idea what was going on but things got real weird, real fast.  So I figured Season 2 would still be weird but would answer some of the questions we all had.

The season opener gave me a migraine.  If you haven't watched it and still plan on watching it,
DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER!  You have been warned.  It came on Sunday...but I am being nice...
SPOILERS below.

So it started in 10,000BC or something (what?!?).  There was a cave woman.  I honest to God thought I started watching the wrong show.  So she's prego and has to tinkle, why do I need to know this?!!?!  Anyways she leaves her tribe in the cave and there is a flipping earthquake and they are all buried alive...well that sucks!  So b**ch goes into labor all alone and manages to birth the baby and not die, kudos cave chick.  Again, I am still like what am I watching?!!?!?  So she is starving and has to find food and gets bit by a snake (uh oh).  Her arm goes all gangrene and basically falls off and she dies with the infant clutched to her chest while laying near a water reserve, creek thing...jfc that's terrible!  Some other tribe lady finds the baby, gives dead mom a sad look and moves on.  Then we flash to present day Miracle, TX.  Ummmmm WTF?

Why am I in Miracle, TX?  Who are these new characters?!?!  What happened to the old characters?!?!?  What was with the flipping cave woman?!?!  What is happening?!?!  So apparently Miracle was the only place where people didn't "depart".  No one was "taken" so now its like a holy land.  Honestly, when they show the buses coming in with peeps and residents of the town selling "holy items" all I could think of was Fatima or Medjugorje.  Ya know, places where Mary appeared and then *BAM* its now a place where people pilgrimage from all over the world to be close to God or "healed" or whatever.  Don't get me wrong, I'd visit too out of sheer curiosity even if I wasn't a little religious.

It all centers around this really sketch family.  The husband is a Fireman that burns down peoples houses (WTF?!?) and his daughter is rebelling a bit and almost a typical teen.  Mom seems normal, as is the brother and the whole fam goes to Baptist services.  Finally more than half way in, we get our preacher man (Christopher Eccleston) showing up in Miracle.  But he only has a small scene and he is shooshed by the current preacher from talking about the departure and his wife's "miracle" ...odd.  The sketch dad questions him like some interrogator...what is going on!?!?

So we are back at the house and sketch dad gets a pie left on the front porch and he's all suspicious that its poisoned or something (well if you didn't go around burning down people's houses maybe you wouldn't be so paranoid!).  He sees his new Neighbors (yay, its our "favorite" f**ked up family from Season 1).  So we have preacher man, along with Kevin, Nora, Jill & recently acquired baby randomly showing up in the same town in TX...can't be a coincidence...right?!?  (yes I know him and Nora are related but they aren't exactly BFFs) So sketch dad brings the possible POISONED pie to the new neighbors...(what a d**k!) and invites them for his B-day BBQ, odd.

BBQ is weird to say the least.  Kevin is awkward anyway and sketch dad is just not right so that's fun.  Apparently sketch dad was in prison for attempted murder and that's not an uncomfortable conversation, nope not at all.  So the kids in that home (boy and girl) are apparently twins.  Weird things always happen with twins.  I should know I am married to one and my BFFs are twins.

Anyway, twin girl has a seizure at the table and messes up the bday cake (yikes!)...poor baby.  So we end up with them eating the pie (pahahahaha, karma).  No one dies but shockingly enough even after the seizure they let girlfriend go off with her friends after dinner, hmmmm.  Sometime in the middle of the night we have an Earthquake (ahhh tying into the weirdo beginning).  Mom & dad realize baby girl never came home.  Dad and twin bro go to the reservoir, creek thing and find the friend's car....running...with the radio on...locked from the inside and EMPTY.  No trace of the three girls.  OMG the girls departed didn't they!?!?!?  The creek thing is dry and the fish are flopping...where the hell did all the water go?!?!  And roll credits.

I have more questions!  I have no answers!  I have a headache!  And I will keep watching because I apparently like to torture my brain.

The night is dark and full of....WTF man!?!?!?!

Sooooooooooooooo it goes without saying, I think but I will say anyways.  Below will be spoilers for the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale.  Potential for incomplete thoughts is high, please proceed with caution. Mind you I'm only 1/2 way through "A Feast of Crows" so I really don't know what has been going on outside of the TV Show.  It's a little long mind you but I had a lot of thoughts.

I didn't watch the finale on Sunday night or Monday because I wasn't home.  Can I just tell you how hard it was to stay away from spoilers...I basically had to stay off everything internet AND plug my ears saying "lalalala" every time someone said "OMG can you believe they..." And I have to note since day 1 (mostly) I have had four favs.  Four characters that I deem unkillable (do you hear that writers?!?!?); Tyrion, Jon, Arya and Dany.

**SPOILERS**

It was insanity all around.  I feel like the previous episode was a little better BUT I did enjoy the finale...well mostly.  We began and ended with a bang...kind of.  So I am not going in order of the show just in order of how things are arranged in my scattered brain.

Stannis...it really sucks to be you man.  You killed your adorable/trusting DAUGHTER because some fiery tart said "its what God wants" (really?!?!?!?), then 1/2 your army deserted you (and I believe they had every right to!), your wife hung herself (you can basically blame yourself for that one), your fiery tart abandoned you (you should really question who you put your trust in, man), and finally you were met with an army that made yours look very, very sad.  Oh not to mention you put up one hell of a fight, but thankfully Brienne was there to remind you how much your greed to rule the on the Iron Throne has cost you (you let that b**ch MURDER your own BROTHER)!

Arya...DAMN GIRL, you really are a bad@$$!  I just love our murderous little Stark.  She has a list of revenge and by golly she is going to fulfill it.  That sick f**k, Meryn, definitely deserved to die but her means were...WOW.  She stabbed out his eyes and then repeatedly stabbed him in various places while asking if he knew who she was.  "I'm Arya Stark. Do you know who you are? You're no one. You're nothing." Yep, she is still one of my favs.  But I knew she would be punished for not following the plan Jaqen H'ghar (or who ever he is) had.  She went f**king blind!  Don't hurt my little Stark, dammit!  She'll still be a bad@$$, I just know it.

Quit hurting Sansa!  I have grown to adore this character and I just can't help hating all the horrible things thrown her way.  She finally makes it to the tower to light the damn candle but OF COURSE Brienne isn't watching (even though she barely left her post up to this point) because she is off taking revenge on Stannis (I approve but your girl needed you chica!).  Then Ramsey's f**k buddy threatens her with Theon (Reek, whatever) close behind.  I wanted to cheer when Theon FINALLY showed some cojones...well not really since he can't but he killed that b**ch, saved Sansa and then they held hands and...JUMPED from Winterfell's wall.  What?!?!!?!?  That better have been a hell of a snow drift!  They better have lived!!! Do NOT kill my girl you jerks!

Tyrion is left to run Meereen in Dany's absence while Jorah and Daario (God he is so hot, sorry, not sorry) go hunt her down.  I mean b**ch left on a dragon last week (OMG so cool!)Favorite exchange of the night.
“So mainly you talk.” – Daario.
“And drink.” – Tyrion

Dany...I didn't think we would see her this episode.  But we do and Drogon is showing his rebellious teenager side as he refuses to fly her back to Meereen.  I was cracking up!  He was like "no mom, we AREN'T going 'home' *yawn* take a nap with me." Then crazy girl wanders off and we last see her surrounded by a $hit ton of Dothraki...oh that CAN'T be good. . .

That crazy b**ch killed Myrcella!  I knew the second she kissed her.  I was like "Oh crap!"  So Jaime comes clean, Myrcella basically said she knew all along.  She accepted that he was her dad and then f**king DIED!  Ahhhhh poor Jaime....he just can't catch a break.

I never in a MILLION years thought I would have feelings for Cersei but I so did.  She admits to only one indiscretion (sleeping with her cousin) to get out.  They strip her, cut her hair and make her do the walk of shame to the Red Keep.  I mean girl walked with her head high but the CRAZY peeps of King's Landing just shunned her.  They attacked her, threw rotted food and $hit at her.  Which by the way, where do those angry mobs get $hit from all of a sudden?!?! To top it off that holier than thou c**t is walking behind her ringing a GD bell saying "Shame" every few seconds.  How did Cersei hold together as long as she did?  Soooo was that The Mountain, resurrected (or clearly no longer dying), that lifted her up...WTF is going on here?

Are you kidding me Game of Thrones?!?!?!  Did you Mother F**kers really just kill off my FAVORITE Character!?!?!?  I had a feeling it was coming.  There was all this hinting that they would all turn on Jon Snow, especially that little f**ker Olly.  It was like he was saying goodbye forever to Sam (which that whole exchange talking about Sam getting laid was ADORKABLE!).  He is still the Lord Commander people, I don't think you are supposed to do that.  But he was deemed a "traitor" because he had a heart and tried to SAVE PEOPLE regardless of their background.  All the night's watch took a stab at him (literally).  Every plunge made me cringe, stop hurting him!!! And of course that little bottom feeder, Olly, gave the final blow.  What a douche!  As Jon laid DEAD on the ground I FULLY expected his eyes to turn blue.  I was hoping for it.  Because then next season he can come back and KILL all those mofos!  But then I remembered the fiery tart made her way back to The Wall...is she going to resurrect him?!?!?  Please, please, please...I will forgive your insanity if you bring back Jon (R+L=J, right? I believe!)

So now it is over and I am pondering if I should drop the two books I am reading and pick "A Feast of Crows" back up because I am totally going through withdrawals and its only been 24 hours since I watched it!

What is happening on TV?!?

Clearly I watch a variety of shows but a few lately have me wanting to scream!

**SPOILERS for any shows listed in the Labels**

FIRST
WTF happened on Game of Thrones last night!?!?  Sometimes I wonder why I still watch it but I truly enjoy my escape to Westeros most Sundays (hello, Mother of Dragons).  Then things like last night happen and I want to strangle people.  I haven't made it through Book 3 yet so forgive me if I was supposed to know any of this.

I flat out yelled at my TV when they arrested Queen Margaery.  Why didn't Tommen say SOMETHING?!?!  Yes of course we as the audience know the Queen lied to protect her brother BUT this is all Cersei's doing, she is an evil vindictive biotch (yet for some reason I still like her, slightly).  But something tells me f**king with Margaery is only going to end badly for Kings Landing.  Her grandmama is going to kick someones @$$ (she is one of my fav secondary characters).  I mean who wouldn't be pissed if their grandson who is part of the Kingsguard AND their granddaughter who is  the Queen are both arrested.

Then there was the Sansa stuff.  Can I just say...WHY?!?!  Yes, we know that Ramsay Bolton is a sadistic @$$hole but why show him doing that to HER!?! It is bad enough she is being forced to marry this psychopath but showing just HOW evil he is on their wedding night, ugh!  She literally took one of the team.  I thought being with Joffery was bad enough, then marrying her to Tyrion (WEIRD!) but Ramsay is by far the worst!  Sansa has become so strong and I really have begun to admire her bravery in all this insanity so when they got to the room, I was like oh god now what?!?  Then he told "Reek" to stay and watch and I just knew it would be awful and 100% unnecessary!  I almost muted the TV and looked away, I wish I had.

They didn't have to show what happened.  We all knew it wasn't going to be good.  But to actually SHOW him ripping her clothes and bending her over and the sounds.  It was awful! Look I get it is HBO and they can basically do whatever they want BUT at least have a reason for it.  It isn't like we all thought Ramsay was a good guy and this would be a way to show his bad side.  We know he a nutter, elude to what is going to happen and fade to black, the rest was only put in there as a shock factor and it made me mad and a tad bit uncomfortable.

SECOND
I finally watched the Season (now SERIES) finale of Forever on ABC.  It was so freaking good.  I truly thought Jo was going to find Henry bleeding out on the ground in the subway.  I was thinking maybe when they got the cancellation notification they would give us a proper ending.  "Sorry guys, crazy man was right, the gun killed him. Bye bye now." But no, apparently they thought, just like us, that the show would at least get a Season 2.  So he vanishes and Jo finds his pocket watch *insert dramatic gasp*.  Anyone who watches(ed) this show is probably as frustrated at me with those two.  Just kiss already!

Anyways she shows up at Henry's door with the watch and Abe is all "Just tell her!" And he says "its a long story" and the credits roll.  WTF!?!?! I mean it is a perfect season ending cliff hanger but f**king ABC canceled the damn show and now I wont get to see how Jo reacts to his "news" or what Henry is gong to do with the now fully conscious yet paralyzed crazy guy.  Surprise, your partner and the guy you CLEARLY love is actually an immortal, would you like some tea?  Stupid networks canceling decent shows but renewing all this reality TV bull$hit *grumble grumble*.

THIRD
Go home Lost Girl you are drunk!  Yes I know this is the final season but so far it has been even more strange than before...if that is even possible.  Yes EVERY series has its "silly" episodes *ahem* "Love & Monsters" *ahem* or "Smile Time" *he's a bloody puppet!*.  But they turned Bo into a cat.  She had furry paws, a tail, she slept in a box...good lord!  And while I giggled every time she had a cat mannerism I wasn't sure why we were doing this.  What was the purpose of turning her into a feline, except for comic relief?  Maybe I missed something. And yes I know her "good luck" from the cat leads her to the Oracles but it was still weird!  And to top all the weirdness off, we don't have Kenzi!  Its the last freaking season, give me back Kenzi!!!!  I know Ksenia Solo is doing other things (OMG she is on Orphan Black *squeee*) but I wish she was still by Bo's side *pouting*

FOURTH
Dammit Booth what are you doing?!?!? We finally get these two idiots together and living happily ever after (awww another baby bones/booth) and they eff it all up.  They put Booth in an awful situation and he gets addicted to gambling again. A man threatens Bones and Christine and THAT is how Bones finds out about the "problem".  She has Aubry (who I adore) pay off the bookie and then has a chat with Booth.  He LIED to her!  She gives him the chance to tell the truth and he LIEDAhhhhhhhh!  Then she asks him to leave, he freaks and says "I love you" and she says "I don't believe you.  Not anymore."  No no no no no no no!  Why are you doing this to us?!?  Stop torturing the viewers.  First there was the like 7 season flirt fest ending with them having a baby, then Booth basically calls off their wedding because of Pelant (jerk!), then he gets thrown in PRISON and now this!  What the hell writers?!?!  You are killing us!

What is happening?!? A Leftovers Review

So I am hooked on this damn show and I don't really know why.  So kudos to you HBO for not telling me what I am watching but still getting me to tune in every week to see if maybe I'll get a bread crumb for my efforts.

Last night was no different.  I sat down anxiously waiting, hoping for some answers.  I mean it's the season finale, right?!?  It was ever so slightly a bit of a mind f**k.  And by ever so slightly I mean my head went *boom*. All I can say is THANK GOD it was renewed for Season 2.

As depressing as this show is (I mean 2% of the population went *poof* for no reason) I really like it.  I've liked it even more since they did that back story episode to show us just how happy or unhappy our main characters were before the departure.  I mean when they showed her having the ultrasound and then no more baby.  I got a little emotional.  That scene slapped me in the face and I suddenly understood WHY she is doing what she is doing.  Okay back to the finale.  WTF did I watch?!?

Seriously, the whole show I was like OMG...NOOOOO....WHAT...WTF JUST HAPPENED...HOW.... OOOOOOOHHHH...THAT'S HOW ITS ENDING.  I am really good usually at picking up on things in a show or book but this one had my head reeling.  Connecting the dots was not an option, I felt so slow to keep up.  So more kudos for blowing my mind HBO.  And they totally tricked me!  I was ready to hang the pastor!  I was like dammit Matt, what were you thinking!?!!?!?  By the way I love Christopher Eccleston in this show.  Or maybe I just really like him as an actor...whatever, I like his character.  Then crazy bitch showed up and I was all "yep, he's lost his GD mind".  And I was so flipping uncomfortable with the intimacy being shown, I seriously looked away because she was forcing herself on him.  I almost lost it when he called for his "daddy"...he seemed so defeated and scared.  Then HBO went "hahahaaha made ya look".  And I shook my fist at the TV and said "dammit HBO".  Well maybe not but I probably should have.  The rest of the episode was up and down and how in the world...and oh god, oh god what did these crazy MF-er's in white do now!  After he saved Jill and Laurie and the thing with the dog, I began thinking maybe crazy Wayne dude can actually grant wishes because it looks like he is getting his family back!  Which if a season two is coming how in the world with uh...Nora...adopted son...random baby.

And then it happened...I started tearing up when Nora was saying goodbye.  Her narration over the images being shown, it was beautiful and sad.  That was the final straw.  She was giving up but thanking Kevin and telling him how wonderful he is because even with his flaws, he is pretty damn amazing.  And a tad bit sexy.  Any way he needs to hear that but she can't give up, she just can't. So I was upset, "no no no, don't take her, I like her, she is a little badass and kind of relatable".  She just seemed real.  I was so terrified they were going to end it with her suicide I had crawled up the back of my couch with my hand over my mouth trying to get away from that ending.  But when she found the baby, I did a hiccup/gasp thing because you could see the moment she realized she couldn't or shouldn't give up.  "look what I found" *watery smile* flash to a confused Kevin & Jill, fade to black.

It took me a minute to realize it was over!  No, they can't end it like that!!! I still don't know what the eff is going on.  What happened?!?!?!  I need answers!!!  Instead I have a million more questions and now have to wait for Season 2.  I think I should read the book...I've heard its amazing but I don't know how closely the show follows the book.  Probably not that close if I had to guess.

So brain went *boom*.  I still have no idea what is happening but I like some characters so much more and just loathe others.  Maybe I should re-watch and see if I missed anything when things went *boom*.
