I haven't loved a series this much in a while.  Like I LOVED ACOTR but this series has stolen all coherent thoughts!!!

This freaking series!  I didn't think I could love Violet and Xaden anymore but OMG.  This is literally just my random thoughts.  Its for me.  Please dont read haha

Highlights so I remember:

- This is hilarious... surprise bitches we LIVED

- Oh no... something is wrong.  This seems bad.  "He lives" doesn't sound great...

- Sygeal... be gentle.  Oh shot if the dragon is saying be gentle... wtf?!!?!?

- Ok ok he killed Mr big Venin.  OK... 

- Oh Fuck fuck fuck!!! 

- I did not see that coming!  With 1000% certainty did not see him becoming VENIN!!! Ahhhhhhhh

- Oh it did the thing.....its him POV.  

- "I always told you you would change for love" UGH!.  He became Venin to protect Vi and if he just waited 1 more minute she had it.  But they had each other blocked.... ARGH!

- I could never fear you Xaden!!!

- Hahahhaaha "What's the cure Jack!" They will cure him.  He will NOT be evil!!!!

Okay I say that in Jest because this book totally hooked me.  I really did enjoy it but there were times where I was like this is odd. 

*****SPOILERS****

Lark is an outcast.  She is an outcast because she has this ability to turn on your fear.  Basically she infuses you with fear until you piss your pants and run. 

People are scared of her so she moves on from town to town once she's been outed.  Unfortunately she was used and abused by her evil father.  And people are awful to her.  Its an awful world.  It barely rains and the earth seems to be dying.

She runs to the last refuge.  A Troll City where humans may or may not be welcome.  Before they can kill her she shows the council her "curse" and they allow her to stay as a 2nd hand citizen (they hate humans) as long as she behaves and earns her keep. 

She's paired up to work with Unach a large, pretty (?) Trollis who is a badass and really wants nothing to do with Lark.  But they council orders her to "keep" her until she gets quarters.  She hunts monsters with Unach who is all around annoyed she has to deal with her. 

Unach's brother Azmar lives with her but seems different.  He's not as harsh as the other Trollis.  He is almost kind and seems very smart.  

Other humans live in Cagemar but are more live slaves but not... they have their own area but are not respected.  She gets in good with a few but a jealous asshole has her ebeaten to within an inch of her life before a half human half troll found her and helped.  

Azmar seems to take this the hardest (what is happening) but Trolls hate humans...right?  

Anyways alot happens...they build a friendship.  She gets beaten again by another very EVIL Trollis and Azmar seems to distance himself. But Unach "claims" her which means...no one can touch her.  I dunno its weird.  

She saves the city...twice.  And then there is a moment where there seems to be chemistry bw Azmar and Lark... WHAT?!?!?!  lithe blonde human and a... I am picturing "smart hulk" from the avengers.  He's like 3 times her size ... but he rejects her...she's embarrassed and ends up in her own apartment. 

They eventually hook up.  Its a HUGE no no.  Like HUGE!  They keep it a secret but obvi that's not possible.  He basically proposes and gives her his "rock".  She tries to escape to meet up with another band of peeps, gets caught...with a knife.  Its a mess.  Trollis is going to be attacked and no one believes her. 

She goes undercover at her fathers camp.  He plans on whiping out cagemar.  She gets the info to prove her loyalty to Cagemar and goes back but they end up going to wa anyway with Azmar on the front lines as his punishment for loving a human.  He's going to die she uses fear to scare him back to safety and is recaptured by the trollis. 

Everyone is hating him, he almost died. Unach hates lark now bc she found the rock thingy.  He hate lark bc he's scared of her so she is going to leave.

But he shows up, professes his love, and said he never belonged in Cagemar.  They runaway to the mountain and it rains.

It was a weird book...like I've never read a Troll book. But like I really got invested in this damn book.  Like really invested.  Like couldn't wait to make sure Lark & Azmar had their happily ever after.  WTAF.
