It is incredibly violent, a little gross, insanely vulgar, and freaking hilarious. I know I've said in the past that I am a Superhero junkie but holy $hit I LOVE this movie. I love Deadpool. He is so bad he is good. And yes I know he isn't a "Superhero", he's a merc...right got it.
He tells you in the 1st few seconds he is NOT a good guy. He is NOT a hero. He is NOT like the Avengers or X-men or Spiderman or any OTHER superhero you want little Johnny to look up to. He is a bad person. He is a mercenary. He barely has a conscience and with his new "powers" that conscience flies even further away. He is selfish. He drinks too much. He is a bit of pig. He is a tad crazy. Oh, and he MURDERS people. But he is in love with
My point is the movie is AMAZING. I love love love love Ryan Reynolds. He is in my top 10 fav actors. I love breaking the 4th wall. I love the pot shots at other Marvel heroes. I love the pot shots a the Green Lantern. He IS Deadpool. I know we say Robert Downey Jr IS Tony Stark and that is true but I have to say the casting for this one is spot on. But this movie is NOT for kids. There is quite a bit of sexual content. There is a lot of VIOLENT murders and such. There is a lot of cursing. No really, he says "F**K" like every other word. And while you may be okay with showing this to your 8 year old, the rest of us in the theater feel slightly uncomfortable hearing little Johnny giggle when boobs are bouncing on the screen. There is no need for them to see this yet...just saying.
So my take is GO SEE IT! What are you waiting for, Deadpool is in theaters NOW...go...shoo...go on.
P.S. - Is it weird that I want the soundtrack?!?!?! It was like the ultimate flashback to the 80's/90's.
